It seems ebay changed their format somewhat. I used to be able to prep my sale of an item by looking up similar items and (using the filters in the left hand column) refine my search down to 'sold' items. Then I'd have an idea of what those items sold for and what to ask for my item. I can't seem to make that left hand column show up any more for refining my search. Is it gone or am I just not finding it?

Why not just use the "advance" search (behind to the right of the search window) and look at what the actual item has been selling for in the past 90 days?

Try using another browser to rule out a browser display issue. If that works better, try clearing your browser cache and manually deleting just your eBay cookies in the original browser.

You've gotten great advice on how to use both (Live and Ended) methods. I know that when I sold, I used both. Good luck!

You might also try "Product Research" which used to be called Tearapek accessible thru Seller hub.....

This ^^^^
Don't waste your time looking at completed/sold listings, you only get 90 days of completed listings AND you will be shown listings that were never paid for.
Product Research will give you up to 3 years of data and they do not include listings that were never paid for.

Product Research; you need to be signed up for a store to use.

All sellers can use product research, not just stores

Hah! I never noticed that tiny "advance" link up there. Thank you. That will work fine.
And thank all the rest of you for some other good advice.

I missed the reference to sourcing part when I first looked at it. That link takes me to using Sellers Hub, not everyone wants or needs to get that in depth with their sales.
