Hi,
I sell tyvek suits for painting, body work, etc. One listing I have sells a lot of 25 suits weighing 11 lbs that fit into a 20x14x12 box. If the buyer orders one box, Ebay charges them the appropriate shipping. However, I had a buyer order 3 lots (75 suits). Ebay charged the buyer for one 20x14x12 box with all 3 orders in it (which is not physically possible. I understand that I can then purchase 3 separate labels, but I lose money this way since I am paying 3x the shipping and the buyer is not (i.e. if shipping for 1 lot of suits is $22, the buyer who bought 3 lots is paying for 1 box at 33lbs, about $42. However, I am paying 3 x $22 = $66) . I need Ebay to charge the buyer for each box being shipped. How can I do this??
Thanks, Corey

When setting up the listing, and you have multiples of the same item, there is a place right next to the shipping where it is set up to charge $X for 1, and then $X for each additional one. If you left that blank, which I assume you did- the customer does not get charged. Therefore, you need to fix your listing.

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. Since I am using calculated shipping, it doesn't give me this option. Flat rate shipping does give me this option. However, as mentioned by the other person, it would be a gamble since it would over charge some and undercharge others. The other option was to reduce my quantity to 1, but if I have a buyer that wants more than 1, they would have to wait until I repopulated the quantity correct? I have attached the options available with calculated shipping. Again I appreciate all the help!
Regards, Corey

Corey, just set your shipping up for flat rate as stated above and charge enough to cover your shipping from Virginia to California. Make sure to set up $x amount for each additional item purchased on the same order. If the buyer wants the item they will buy it. You can always refund any over charge for closer buyers. Just try to be fair with your buyers.
