How to change measurement units? (lb) to (g) in settings

Hi, I have a newly created account on Ebay.com. But I want to sell in the EU only. I want to skip shipping to the US.
How to change measurement units? (lb) to (g), (in) to (cm) and price $ to €? Already when writing an offer in the form.
If I registered as Ebay.co.uk, I would have to ship to the UK, but it's outside the EU.
Can you advise me if it can be set somehow?
Thank you friends for your advice.

I'm not sure that you can sell only to Europe Union with an account registered on the .com (USA) site or being registered on the UK site since the UK is no longer a part of the EU.  You might be better off posting your question on one of the boards attached to an EU site such as Germany or France.

When you sell on .com you are required to ship to the United States. The units of measure in item specifics will primarily be Imperial. You can list the metric conversions in the item description field.

Maybe one of the other eBay sites will be more relevant to your needs.

If you want to sell only to the EU, you will have to list on one of the EU sites, where prices are denominated in Euros, such as ebay.de, ebay.fr or ebay.ie.

You can list on any eBay site in the world.

Since you want to sell into the EU, and you seem to speak English, use the Irish site.

You will be listing in euros.

The dimensions will be metric (although if our Canadian site are any guide, it could be possible to switch systems. Look for the "i"  in a circle link).

You should be aware that all your payments from your customers will be in euros but with Managed Payments if you are registered in the USA you must attach an American checking account.

While you can choose the currency, not many US banks offer checking accounts denominated in euros, so there will be currency exchange and the related fees.

Americans pay 4.4% in FVF for overseas payments, unless the buyer has a US-based payment processor.  Which would be the occasional expat plus American troops stationed in Europe and a few diplomats.

You may be better off opening an Irish account, if you have an address there and a checking account with and Irish bank.

But it depends on your personal location.

In passing, the Location on your listings should be the location of your products, not your own.

Unfortunately, I live in the Czech Republic. And she is not on this list. 😞 ´And apart from the UK, there is no English-speaking country in Europe, and it still does not have units of measure such as centimeters, kilograms.
I have no problem with sales to the USA. But those units are quite a problem.
On Ebay I see Finns, Germans, and other states. For me, it is cheapest to enter transport and prices in European units and €.

Thanks for tips.

Would you advise me any group from the EU? Germany, for example. I don't know how they're looking here.
Thank you for your answer

@ramut-68 , yes, there is an English speaking country in Europe:  Ireland. And there is an eBay website there: www.ebay.ie

You can list items for sale on eBay.ie, using your current account.

Yes. .ie belongs to the EU and uses €, but uses the Anglo-American measuring system. which is a bigger problem Therefore, I am interested in whether after logging in to the administration, for example, it goes .de, .fr, etc. it is possible to switch the language to English.

Ireland is in the EU and has used the euro since 1999. It also, like Canada and the UK, is officially metric, although Imperial measures are used alongside the official ones.

And you can put the measurements of the product into the description if (as a quick look seems to show) there is nowhere to put measurements.

If you are shipping from Czechia, but listing on any other site, you will not be able to use Calculated Shipping (which requires measurements )  only Flat Rate. With Flat Rate you don't put in the dimensions of the package because you will be charging the same rate wherever it is going.

  • You can set up your Custom Locations in groups so you charge one Flat Rate to the EU another to India and SriLanka and another Flat Rate to Australia and New Zealand, etc.

No, it is not possible to change the language for those websites to English. With few exceptions, eBay only communicates in the local language of the website. The only exception I am sure about is eBay Canada, which has the choice of English or French, the two official languages in that country. I think possibly eBay Switzerland has a choice of either German or French, but I'm not sure.

If you want to communicate in English, in Europe, your only option is eBay Ireland. You can use your current account, or you can create a new account on eBay Ireland. Either way, you need to make sure your registration address is correct for your country, and matches the information on your bank account so you can register for managed payments.
