Note that if you have been in a transaction with the member or if you have been communicating with the member, you can Block them, but they can continue to Message you for 30 days.
I guess the idea is to allow for a dispute to finalize.
Annoying but you can delete (or if the member is very troublesome Archive) their messages without reading.
