The invoice/packing slip that a seller can include when shipping a purchase to a buyer does NOT show the state sales tax eBay collects. If a buyer hasn't paid you can send them an invoice. That invoice used to include the state estimated sales tax. However an invoice I sent yesterday lists each item and its sales price, a subtotal of the sold items prices, the shipping and handling cost, and a total. Example:
Subtotal: $.50
S&H: $.00
Total: $.54
I don't think I've ever seen an invoice where the charges didn't add up to the total, but that's eBay for you.
The $.04 difference is the sales tax eBay collected.
