How to add items to markdown event now that Ebay updated

I used to be able to click on something to add items (newly listed that didn't get added when sale was originally scheduled). Now all I can find is an option to exclude items from the sale. Clicking edit on the scheduled sale does not yield an Add Items button anymore. Does anyone know where the Add Items button is now?

I use a PC too and the instruction I gave you in post 8 are exactly how they appear on my computer.  I honestly don't know why it isn't there.  Something is different for you and IDK why, sorry.

You might want to contact Ebay.  I would suggest the Facebook link.

On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://twitter.com/askebay

https://www.facebook.com/ebay

https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

The good news is it is easier than you likely think it is.

Go to this link.

https://www.ebay.com/sh/mktv2/promotionmanager/dashboard?

This link will show you all your Markdown sales in a list just below the graph.  Your current sale should be the top item on the list of different sales you have ran.

On the left side of your current sale are three dots vertically.  Click on that and the the Edit option.  Then do whatever it is you need to do.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Right. Did all that previous to this post.  There is no way to add the individual sale items. Just to exclude items. There used to be a button that let you update/add items, but that is gone now. I can change the store categories as a whole, but I cannot add individual items to the already scheduled sale.

I hope they just put the  Add Items button back. My issue is that I schedule my weekend sales a month or so in advance, but I list new items every Friday. My weekend sales are category based. I sell vintage doll clothes, so a sale, for example, is in The Pajama Shoppe. As I list new items on Fridays, those items don't get added to the already scheduled sales unless I go manually add them...which I used to do. Then they updated and removed that option. There is only a View and Exclude option now.

So, I guess I'm left with your option of running multiple side-by-side sales (just to include the newest items) or not scheduling my sales in advance (which is very convenient for my store and I hate to abandon that strategy).

It should be in the top right now.  Add and Remove both show up there for me, above the list of items in the sale.

It is there, let me help a little more.

https://www.ebay.com/sh/mktv2/promotionmanager/dashboard?

Once on the page drop down below the graph to the list of Markdown sales you have had.

The top one should be your current sale.

Click on the three dots on the left.

From the drop down menu select Edit.

On the top right side of this page is a greyed out field with the incon of ADD and REMOVE on the right of that field.

Click on ADD.

Now you should see a list of active listings that are not currently in your sale.  Select whichever listings you want and then hit the UPDATE button on the lower right side of your screen.

How to add items to markdown event now that Ebay updated

I should have clarified that I am on a PC. I know you keep telling me the basics that I already know and use weekly, but the option you are talking about is NOT there. There is no ADD for individual items. I only have the option to add CATEGORIES. I can REMOVE individual items, but I cannot ADD. So, obviously, something is now missing from my options since the update. When I do as you suggested (which I have done 20x previously) here is what I see. I can select categories, but there is no option, like there used to be, to add additional items. Before the update, you could click an Add Items button and the entire inventory, or just a category (depending on what was selected) would come up. You could then check a box or uncheck a box next to each, individual item. Since the update, this option is NOT there. Only what you are seeing in this screenshot. So, I can add entire categories and then go remove everything I don't want in the sale. So, sort of the reverse of what used to be there. I used to see everything, then click to add. Now, I can't get the entire inventory to come up in one big list -- only by category. So, I have to add the category, then go through and remove everything I don't want in the sale.

On a side note, I did update the sale, but selecting the entire category, which added everything in that category. So I guess, instead of adding, I must now remove things I don't want in the sale.

It is not there. Only remove. I am on a PC. I don't know if the phone interface differs from what I see on the PC or not, or if everyone  is talking about what they see on their phone? But for me, on the PC, there is no Add, only Remove.

Nope, like mam I'm on a PC as well.  I'm wondering if it has to do with the type of sale you set up initially, but it's hard to know that now.
