So I'm back again with the continuing issue of declining sales. I continue to garner watchers like crazy with hardly any sales. My theory being that they are waiting for offers. My ask... would it be wise to somehow state in my listings that I DON'T send offers to watchers? Tactfully? So as not to **bleep** off potential buyers? But to let potential watchers know this up front? Or just leave things as is and keep getting watchers but no buyers? Dammit eBay this send offer option is killing me (us?)! Having reasonable (not dirt cheap) prices just isn't good enough anymore!

No I don’t think that it is a good idea to put in your listings that you won’t be sending offers. Perhaps others will disagree but it had never occurred to me to watch something just in case they would send me an offer.. I also don’t think that having watchers has anything to do with not having buyers.

ebay has taught me to not be in a hurry when buying, put the items on watchlist and wait and see what offers that produces.

I wouldn’t mention it in the listing. IMO, it makes a seller appear rigid and unwilling to do what it takes to make a sale. It’s a ‘my way or the highway’ vibe.

Are you checking your pricing options? See my photo attached as eBay can and will automatically enroll into things you may not choose:
This is what happened to me about a year ago. eBay was choosing options for me that I definitely didn't want to attach to my listings. Click on the "See all options" link to the right & the ones you don't want, slide them to the left and keep an eye on them. My guess this is probably what is happening.
Good luck & Happy Selling!

Watchers are just that, you have no idea if they are other sellers that checked out your sale and are just watching, maybe some are legit.
If you are sick of seeing "send offers" then send a low ball offer to get them off your screen, otherwise what really do you care?
If they have not bought then don't worry and focus on those that might purchase?

Don't put anything your listings about what you do or don't do... for one, you might change your mind and have lots of listings to fix, or you might put someone off. Most watchers probably AREN'T waiting for an offer, they're just window shopping and might buy your item later, or they have one to sell and want to see if yours sells, or many other reasons people watch a listing.
If you don't want to send offers, just don't... and let them buy if they want to.

I doubt if these watchers are waiting for an offer.
Some may be waiting for a price reduction.
Some may be waiting for enough money in their pocket to buy.
Some may be your competitors waiting to see if you can sell these items, at at what price.
The percentage of offers sent to watchers which result in a sale is not great for many sellers who send offers.
The number of buyers who will send you an unsolicited offer is far greater than many of us would like.
What you sell matters, when you price. Women's clothing is under strong downward price pressure. The Temu and Shain effects are impacting both new and used clothing. Fortunately, many of the suppliers to Temu and Shain are showing the effects of the downward pressure, and this cannot last.

Don't see that as a good idea. Didn't check to see what you sell, but I am sure you know that a lot of watchers are not going to become buyers, but are just other sellers who have similar items and are waiting to see if yours sells or how much it sells for so they can decide if it's worthwhile for them to list theirs.
