I have a video game console that comes with the box that says "Refurbished" on it. It is from the company that makes the game console itself. I would like to make a listing that advertises what it is, so that collector's can find it.
However, eBay won't let me make listings with the word "Refurbished" in it, because of the implication that I did the refurbishment without being certified as a refurbisher by eBay.
I understand this, but this means I'm not sure how to list my item in a way that people can actually find it.
Currently I've purposely miss-pelt the word in order to get the listing online, but I don't think people will be able to find it. Any suggestions?

You'd be surprised by what odd things game collector's will have an interest in owning / looking for. 😅
That being said, you're probably right. Some of the suggestions I've followed in this thread is probably already "good enough" and I'll just have to hope that, if that buyer is out there, they will stumble upon my listing in some way based on the best I can do with my options.

I have never sold anything as "refurbished" when I do replace parts or repair something I just sell it as "used works as it should".
As a buyer I would choose used over refurbished because I have no idea what "refurbished" even means, in most cases it is just hype.

I assume you have a box like this one then?
There could perhaps be some completist collector out there looking for that box. Honestly you might just want to sell the box separately. 98 percent of your potential customers are not going to care about that box, the 2 percent that do care almost certainly already own the console that is inside it.
