Hi, I'm preparing to sell an unfinished set of CCG cards (Pokémon) and I don't know what category to list it as. My two options are "Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games > CCG Individual Cards" or "Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games > CCG Mixed Card Lots", from what I can tell. There may also be the option of "Collectibles > Non-Sports Trading Cards > Trading Card Sets".
Which one should I label this unfinished card set as? Thank you so much in advance!
Editing this to say I didn't realize there was a category specifically for sets. Oops.

Trading card singles" is the category name in sports trading cards, in CCG it's called CCG Individual cards - either way for sports, non-sport and CCG trading cards yes they have had different categories for single cards vs lots for quite a while.
One reason they have different categories and do actually try to enforce listing in the correct category is that the authentication program only applies to single cards, not to lots, sets etc.
I would guess eBay is starting to enforce that more to cut down on costs/issues of having listings that should not qualify for authentication be incorrectly listed in a category that might allow them to have authenticity guarantee shown on the listing in error.
Bottom line - if it isn't a single card, don't list it in that category.
Good luck 🤞

Category is less important than ensuring that the title of the listing includes the words:
"incomplete set of CCG Cards"
And make sure you repeat that in all description fields.

An incomplete set of CCG cards does not sound like CCG Individual game card. Unless you only have one card, and you consider that to be an incomplete set.
An incomplete set of CCG cards does not sound like a set, either. A set has all the cards in the set because that is what makes it a set. Otherwise, every individual card is an incomplete set that is missing all the cards except one.
An incomplete set of CCG cards sounds an awful lot like a CCG mixed card lot. It is a lot of cards that is not a set.

There is no market for incomplete Pokemon sets. An incomplete set is invariably missing all the actual valuable cards, otherwise you would just spend a couple bucks and complete the set to get that complete set value bump.
