I live in Oak Bay BC.
The word around here is that seniors retire here to be closer to their grandparents.
DH plays bridge with several people over 95 and chauffeurs a 99 y.o. friend to the stamp club on Wednesdays. The friend, who is still actively collecting, also attends a Tuesday stamp club.
He told me they celebrated the 97th birthday of one bridge lady a couple of weeks ago. He said, "She doesn't look a day over eighty."
I think we are getting acclimatized.

You know you're old when they just give them to you without asking! That's how we found out DQ (which we don't have in our area) gave discounts.
Thankfully I am not there yet, I am finally able to get the discount at our grocery store without making my husband (who is 7 years older and grey) come so I can use him as a coupon. He hated that!

My age - 39 as the late Jack Benny would reply when questioned as to age. Now the real question is how many 39th Birthdays have I celebrated?

I am over 55 but not quite 60. My Granny used to listen to General Hospital on the radio until she got a tv. I remember watching the JFK assassination coverage on tv and I was terrified.
@mg152 I'm 35 and I grew up watching General Hospital everyday with my grandmother and mother on television. Still to this day it is one of my fondest memories. I guess soap operas are what women used to do in their free time before ebay came along!

In bellybutton terms ...
I celebrated the 23rd anniversary of my 29th birthday this year
In recovery terms ...
I am 4898 days old

It's not the mileage, It's how gently you've been handled.

I suspect a jolt from "318" would certainly be to his demise?

So youngest answer so far is 38?? Do the young folks not sell, or are they too busy for this board??
P.s.-I'l beat that. I'm younger. and know many many young sellers. Guessing they don't hang around here
Yea, I noticed the same thing. I've been selling for decades, but only joined the board in '11, in my early 30's.
I actually expected to see more of a balanced number, seeing more 30 year olds than what... 3 people? I would think for the value a seller gets from this board... they'd be here too. Maybe my title doesn't attract the young'ins... I should change it to "How old/young is everyone? Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber rules!!"
I wonder what would be the average number if asked in the buyers board.

Youngest seller 38? That's scary!!
I feel 38!
Could be the younger people have more option$$.
Maybe we older people are willing to work harder.
or do we just need a flexible schedule? And take less $$ because of it. ( caring for those who need help is a big one there. People live longer now. Someone needs to care for them. At 67 I have mom & dad, and my poor cousin is pushing 80, she still has her 106 year old mother!)
Maybe younger people don't have the patience to sit as long as ebay requires.
Or do they have so many online social resources, they skip the community.
or maybe they just prefer Not, or don't know how to read.

No, youngest is 35 so far. (a few posts above yours)
Perhaps the young ones, seeing the high average age, decide to not post?
