I sold a $150 retail bracelet Brand new with tags in perfect condition for $100. I have free returns and shipping. My question is... I have never sent a partial refund but I got back the bracelet they removed the tag and it smells like perfume. Obviously I can't sell it as new anymore. How much of a refund deduction would you take? You can take up to 50%.

How much can you sell it for? Will it sell? That would determine the amount I'd refund.
Is it leather? Will the smell dissapate?

eBay provides a Refund Deduction Guidelines Table on this page.
This seems to correspond to the "fair" condition (signs of wear, tags removed) which is a 15-30% deduction ... keep in mind that you don't get back eBay fees if you refund a partial amount.
You can clean of the smell, and sell it as a Retail Return with tags present but removed and perhaps get $75 on a $150 item ... so refund $75, and this buyer is charged a $25 rental fee.

50% As guidelines permit, removal of tags renders it used which it probably has been, smells of perfume says to me it was wanted as a rental, $50 dollar rental it is then.

I think I'd deduct the entire allowed 50%.
Sorry for the edited post, need more coffee.

What is the market value now, used, and how long will it take to sell?
My guess is 50% agree with others.
