I have had three fradulant bids on a wonderful and expensive compact camera. eBay voided my listing each time, and I had to re-list it. Does eBay charge for re-listing when they void the listing because of fraud?

New account, 0 feedback. Listings are limited for newbies. Sounds like bids were cancelled, not your account. Ok. Got that part.
Probably not surprised bids/bidders were fraudulent. ebay taking such decisive action might be.
Hint: "expensive compact camera" most likely will result in large bullseye on your backside, scammers stumbling all over themselves to get to your item. Best to offer this item with "local pick up ONLY", cash in hand. That is, when ebay gets a fix in place for hiding "local pick up" items. Either that, or put that camera on the shelf for a bit, and list/sell some less attractive items.
And, bueno Cinco de Mayo!

If this is a highly scammed item, may I suggest you accept immediate payment only and US sellers only as well.

Have you been invoiced by eBay for listing fees?
You should have 50 free listings each month. (within your selling limits)
If you do not use "upgrades" in the listings such as reserve, bold, you will not pay fees to list/relist until you use up all 50.

The voids are because there have been fraud attempts on the camera. I had a fourth fraud attempt a couple of days ago. The four attempts are now part of the ad. No more since. They use false names and they claim they have sent the money to eBay. The often just joined eBay or they are not registered at eBay. A few contacted me via my private email, and one even texted me urging me to send the camera right away and claiming to have put the money in paypal, which he hadn't. Good to google the names, and you find the person does not exist in the town where they are supposed to live.

How were they able to text you?
They do not need your email to pay EVER and do not invoice.
Always, always, check your PP acct by logging in directly to verify payment and correct ship to address. That s the one that gives you a small amount of seller protection.
As others mentioned, new seller high fraud item, Equals= scam magnet.:(
If you do list, only do so with immediate payment required (advanced listing form) US only and block non US PayPal payments in your PayPal acct profile.
If ebay cancelled the fraud buyer listings sold, they should have refunded your final value fees, check your invoice to be sure.
Final value fees are always charged when item is sold, even if not paid for.:(
