After using managed payments for 6 months I have come to feel it is no more a burden than anything else and now accept it as the norm.

I HATE MANAGED PAYMENTS

After eleven weeks I have no problem with MP. Weekly payouts and I pay for labels through PayPal.

Well, I guess I am the odd one as I really do not have an issue with it for the most part. Yes, there are some things I do not like and I do miss PP in some ways. What I do like though is the fact I can see all my transactions including the fees daily instead of once a month on an invoice. Yes, this could easily have been done and kept PP so maybe that is not a good reason to like it. In my situation I am not as dependent as some on the cash flow so a payout once a week is OK with me and the 2-3 day transfer makes no difference. I will wait to the end of the year to see how the tax info works. I am really hoping it is simpler than the PP reports....I never likes those to be honest. They were very cumbersome and took me several. hours to modify and sort at tax season. I do understand why people do not like giving Ebay access to their bank and it was a hassle to set up new accounts at my bank specifically fro this but after that it seems to run smooth for me at least.

How many sellers are loving this new Managed Payments? I love how eBay holds on to your money
I am having no issues with Managed Payments. eBay is not holding my money.

Makes no difference to me. But I prefer MP for book keeping purposes and not having to sign on to another provider to get to my money.
Am fine waiting up to a week to get the money deposited. I suppose at some point I might consider daily withdrawals.

I like Managed Payments, no monthly bill.
Chose weekly payouts, funds are sent on Tuesdays and they are in my checking account Wednesday morning.

Well... I opted in during August, 2019. After adapting a bit... so far, so good. Godspeed.

I don't know how good it be, lol.

Really not a fan but I tolerate it, no other option than to tolerate it 🙃

The option is to stop selling here. That's what I did.

The biggest problem I can foresee with this new MP system is how it will impact new casual sellers coming on board.
In the past people were like ok, I sign up for a Paypal account and attach that to my bank account not such a huge hassle..
But people may be much more apprehensive to directly link an existing bank account. I cannot see a casual seller wanting to take the time to create a brand new checking account just for an occasional ebay sale...
Maybe I'm wrong in that view but that's how I see it.

I am critical of many of Ebay's corporate nonsensical decisions but MP has worked smooth as silk for me for two year now. But coming out of decades in the real brick and mortar business world I don't expect to get paid by a bank, processor, or even a wholesale customer, immediately. If one is not able to retain enough earnings to compensate for such delays in payment then clearly the business world is not for you.

Five months in and I like it so far. It's made bookkeeping much easier, I no longer have to either manually pay off my FVFs as I go or get slapped with a huge invoice at the end of the month, I don't need to manually transfer my money into my bank account, and no more having to deal with a totally separate site just to do something as basic as purchase a shipping label or give a buyer a partial refund for a shipping overage. I get weekly payouts and the money is in my bank the very next day.
