How many listing fee free fixed price listings does a BASIC store have?

I'm looking to start an actual store and weighing the pros and cons. I'll be posting some questions and would appreciate experienced answers and opinions. TIA!

I understand this information for the basic store.

1000 free BIN listings plus 250 free auction listings in certain categories.

This next screenshot is a bit confusing.

Under zero insertion fee listings per month, 1000 fixed price + 250 auction listings are free, but it goes on to state " + an additional 10,000 fixed priced listings in select categories".  Are those additional 10,000 fixed priced listings in those select categories also free to list?  I think not, but it IS listed under the "Zero insertion fee listings per month" column.  If they're not listing fee free, why wouldn't additional allowed auction listings be mentioned?  It really does seem like they're listing fee free.  Are they?

Yes, the additional 10,000 insertions are free, otherwise they would not be mentioned in the section on free insertions.

Every seller has a limit on the number and value of listings they can set up each month.  These limits are not affected by signing up for a Store subscription. You can see your limits here:

Ok, so for ULTRA clarification.... Collectibles is one of those 'select categories'.  For $22 per month, based on an annual subscription,  having the store would allow me to have 11,000 listing fee free fixed price and 250 listing fee free auction listings in the Collectibles ( or another included  ) category, limited to 4000 total because of my monthly limit?

Yes, subject of course to the $ limit.

There is a significant "early termination fee" if you drop out of an annual subscription before the final month, so you might want to sign up for a month-to-month subscription until you're sure this works out for you.

Yes, I see that, thanks for pointing it out.  They give a convoluted formula when they could just say, "If you cancel, the penalty is 1/3 of what we would have billed you.

It really depends on the volume of merchandise you intend to list, if you are a new seller you may be limited on what you can list and only be able to sell domestically for awhile. I have been on eBay for a LONG time but never opened a store but I am not a high volume seller. Depending on what you are selling things have been a bit slow for some sellers on eBay lately but they still have the store fees to pay.

I have a question about this, maybe you know. I have never been able to find "selling limits" on my main selling account (this one). I see it on my other account that is mainly used for buying and occasional selling. It is nowhere to be found here though. What am I doing wrong?

That happens with really old accounts. The limits don't show up for my oldest account, which I set up in 1999.  Maybe there aren't any limits!

That's what I was thinking, good to know it's not just me. This has always intrigued me.
