How long can you stop selling before you are considered a new seller again?

Need to take time away. Wanted to know how long you have before you are considered a new seller again! Thanks

Re: How long can you stop selling before you are considered a new seller again?

Some people have recently been saying 90 day but I don't believe that, others (me) say it's 12 months while others say it's 6 months.

I don't believe that eBay publishes a specific duration and in addition the help pages state 14 day holds but also say it could be longer (30 days).

I don't know that it's written anywhere, but lots of posters seem to indicate 90 days. Your mileage may vary...

@isellpinupsclippingsandmemorabilia

The last I heard it was 3 months (90 days), but who knows?  Lots of inconsistencies on eBay these days.

Have a great weekend!

Could also depend on how much you sold before those 90 days. Maybe if you only sold sporadically before that, it might take longer, but that is only a guess.

I'm like you isellpinups.

It's exhausting and I just closed my EB account.  Every 2 weeks they send me an email that my account is below standard and threaten to restrict or close the account.  I give up.  I don't get that **bleep** with other platforms.  So I'm done.  I may come back but it will be closer to next year.

I'm not sure I see where you and the OP have anything in common.

We believe eBay looks at a variety of factors. We have travelled for long amounts of time and it never changed are weekly payouts. Longest shut down was 7 months and we are gone 90 to 120 days every year and payouts remain weekly as set up for us. Others make different claims.
