How do you stop offers of items I just clicked on?

It drives me nuts to click on something out of curiosity or when I watch an item because I want to see how it goes with zero interest in bidding and then I get offers to buy it! How do I turn those off off?

How do you open up a chat to discuss this with an ebay rep? You go through several clicks and it brings back in a circle where you cannot open a chat. I got two more offers today on items that I am watching. I am watching them only because I want to sell similar items and want to see how the listing goes. There are multiple more reasons to watch something than that you are interesting in buying/bidding.  I need to discuss this with someone, who won't actually help me, I know that. These are people working from home who know as much as the next guy. But still I want to log my issue with them.

I don't like this either, for me I had to disable notifications on offers altogether. A friend of mine also hated this feature and considers it spam. He could not find a way to disable the notifications on your "recently viewed" items without disabling offer notifications for things he had watch-listed. Maybe both of us just aren't smart enough to figure it out, but I don't think there is a way to disable the recently viewed notifications without disabling the watched item notifications. Can anyone confirm this?

Even better. Got them on the phone now. He asked if I signed out and signed back in after I made those changes. I don't recall for sure. I just did that and now we'll see if that helps. One thing I told him how wrong the process is is that if you mean to decline an offer, but accidentally click accept (which is a blue button, the decline is white, so the accept is prominent) you just bought a $5,000 motorcycle or anything else that you had no intention of bidding/buying! He logged my complaint and hopefully that will help them make it better. Maybe not have that button blue for example.

honestly, this is just a full blown mess. eBay doesn't care, they need the money. I got hit with negative feedbackas a seller because someone waited 38 days after receipt of item to claim it was missing something. I didn't have to honor the return, but she was allwoed to leave negative feedback for her own incompetence. I've been browsing a lot for Disneyland stuff for a trip in 2 months, and I've had well north of 60 offers this week on stuff I looked at, never liked, and have to have my phone go off all day, as well as come back in to the app or website and delete the offer, which puts it back in the recently viewed section. every company is getting worse about ramming this stuff down everyone's throats, and after 10+ years on eBay, I'm about to just pull the plug on buying and selling. They don't want to listen to the people making them money.

Your post has nothing to do with the OPs opening post.

Lift your left leg at midnight to start off on the right foot. Happy new Year!

I accidentally clicked "best answer". Stupid you cannot unclick it. But anyway, you are wrong. It was exactly what I was describing happening in my OP.
