How do you feel about the listings where photo are loaded with expensive items that are not, in fact, for sale. and probably hold as much value as what is actually offered.

I think sellers who innocently list in that manner are setting themselves up for trouble. And sellers who intentionally put up listings like this are likely out to scam somebody.
We talk over and over again about showing only what is for sale, and not attempting to entice somebody into thinking they will receive what they SEE. So many here do not have English as their first language and/or don't fully read and/or comprehend a sales listing even IF they do read it... it's just begging for somebody to get hurt!

That is a SNAD just waiting to happen.

I don't see the problem?
To me I read that as EVERYTHING shown in the pictures is included EXCEPT the tripod. Is the tripod the biggest expensive component in that lot? Granted if the tripod is not included the picture of it should not be there.
But maybe I am stupid because I don't understand the problem here (besides the aforementioned tripod)

I fail to see how showing those items benefits their listing in any way whatsoever, I could see if they were being used to illustrate how something works or something but neither of those items do.

The seller is newer and listing a $500 high scam item. It is obvious they aren't doing it to scam, they are doing it because they don't know any better. They are going to learn a valuable lesson very soon.

There's also a lens, first on the left, which runs at around $400.

Because there's no way ebay will ever side with the seller here. And rightly so.

I agree that they are asking for trouble down the road.
The past two days there were a couple of sellers I found that
items were mentioned, but were not in their pictures. So I messaged them and pointed it out to them. Both sellers Thanked me for mentioning it and saving them from possible
SNAD cases.

People,
From the title of that listing, it states, in part, (3 Lenses).
From the Item specifics section with Seller Notes, the seller specifically indicates what is NOT INCLUDED.
Later in the listing, the seller gives a description of the items that are included in the listing that is being offered to the potential buyer. The seller is offering 3 specific lenses along with other items. Carefully reading that listing, I feel quite safe that NO buyer can tell the seller to include the items specifically stated that are NOT INCLUDED to be sent in the lot.
To me, it's not an SNAD waiting to happen.

In my opinion, just in general for ANY listing on ebay, a seller should NEVER include items in the pictures are not included with the lot.
And I do agree that this is a disaster waiting to happen for this seller. I also agree that I don't think he's intentionally doing it to try to deceive, but may just be a bit thick in assuming everyone will completely understand what is on offer there based on the pictures.
I am also fairly certain of someone buys that based on the pictures alone and opens a case saying things are missing, ebay will side with the buyer for sure. And depending on how unreasonable or unhappy the buyer is, this seller has a lot to lose.
