How do I sell with variations on new listing tool?

I have several coins that are the same, but different years.  Thought that would be good to sell with variations where buyer can choose their preferred year.  Category is Coins & Paper Money > Coins: World > Asia > Other Asian Coins.  The word "Variation" never shows up anywhere in the listing tool, and when I click on the various links to see if it's buried under a sub-page, I don't find it there either.  Having read that it only applies to "most" categories, I decided to see if variations just don't apply to my chosen category by changing the category to Cell Phones & Accessories > Cell Phone Accessories > Cases, Covers & Skins as I know I've seen people sell with variations there, but still no Variations option popped up.  I remember on the old listing tool, it was very easy to find.

How do I find it in the new listing tool?

Click the three dots on top of the create listing page and settings, then turn on variations.

This is all I get when I click Settings under the 3 dots.  That the right place?

Maybe I'm supposed to configure something in the listing summary, but I don't really understand what that means.

Create a new listing and change the settings there.

If you're using the quick listing tool, be sure to enable “more options” to see the bulk listing option. Simply select Change listing preferences at the top of the page, check the Enable more options box, and hit Save. You can then select More options to enter your quantity.

The category must not support variations...you are in the right place though

Ah, I see, that was it.   The options change after I change the category.  Some categories even make Settings option go away completely.

Guess my idea to sell coins by variation isn't going to pan out.
