I came across this seller who was letting buyers select a CD out of many. I've never seen this before. How does one do this? Please click on link. Thanks.

It is called variation listing. However, listing on variations is supposed to the same item where only variations like size, style and color are the only differences. The link below will tell you about it and how to list using this method.

That is a variation listing.
One could argue that it is a violation of policy, because the items are not really similar.
"When you have many similar items that have different variations, such as color or size, you can create a single fixed-price listing that includes all the variations you offer."
