Hello, I was curious as to if I can change the setting on my account to increase the number Items I can sell per month because of the nature of what I sell, baseball cards. These items are collectables and could take months, if not years to sell. Its currently set 250 and half over half of my allotted listings are used up with automatic reinsertion and the fees that come with it.

Scroll down on this page for information to increase your selling limits.

Diversification in selling platforms you use is also useful.

I notice some of your items are more expensive than other sellers on your page platform. So why would someone buy your item when they see it cheaper at the same time?
Sometimes a seller has to undercut the other seller's cost.
And getting "repeat buyers" should be the goal since you sell mostly the same items.
I love the little stand you use for your trading card to show. Is that included? If not...I would make a note that little stand is not included. Some buyers are rootless and expect what they see in the photos. Just a thought.

But, a seller should not do that.
Offer it at a fair price, or 5% above FMV.
Then you can negotiate 10% or 20% discount via BIN offer.
Every once in a while we see people here complaining about the low prices.
"How can someone sell something for less than a buck, spend $4 on postage, and make money?" Well, they can't, and in that case I think we should get out of their way and let them go broke.
DO NOT lower your prices to compete with other sellers.
Just be the best: deliver the best product in a speedy manner and address customers problems right away. They'll pay you for that.

I agree that allowing the buyer to negotiate to a fair price can be a good business plan.
You can even make it easy for both of you by using Best Offer and setting parameters for acceptable and unacceptable offers.
The lowball offer gets an automatic but polite notice from eBay encouraging them to try again.
If they don't you didn't want to sell at that price anyway.
If they do, they have a few chances to hit the sweet spot.
If they hit acceptable, then you are just told to ship.
While the acceptable/not acceptable prices can be a few percentage points apart, they can also be one cent different.
And if there is a gap, you will get to negotiate directly.

You have250 Free Listings without a Store.
With a Basic Store Subscription you have 1000 listings available for $25 a month.
Or .
You can list another 250 items without paying another penny on eBayCanada, or eBay Ireland, or eBay Australia, or eBay UK.
If you want you could put 250 items on each of those, still without any further fees.
If you speak Spanish, you could also list on eBay Spain. French? EBay France. German? EBayGermany.
There are quirks about all of these, the first being that you have to ship to the country whose site you are listing on. There are others.
But you could list 1250 absolutely Free listings just on the English Language sites - no further cost.

The op is asking about increasing their listing or selling limits. The type of store they have would not affect that as eBay sets those limits.

I don't think so, they currently have 531 listings. Subscribing to a Basic Store would cut their listing fees dramatically and since they list in the sports card category they would get 11,000 listings for $27.95 (monthly) or $21.95 (12 month subscription).

When a seller desires to increase their selling limits, they are allowed to request an increase once every 30 days. Mark your calendar and every 30 days request an increase until you have your selling limit well above anything you think you will ever need. Below is a link to where you can go to ask for a selling limit increase. It is the third option in the link below.
