How do I fix this?

Just sold an item - saw the payment notice pop up on my cellphone.

Went to my sold listings, nothing new there. Refreshed. Waited a few minutes. Looked again. Nada.

Went over to PayPal to read the details -  it was a lobster pin.

Checked solds one more time - still zip.

Scrolled through actives - THERE it is! Labeled “out of stock.”

Huh? I didn’t list it as multiple items. Regardless, how do I get it to show in sold items? Plus, I’d rather buy postage from EBay than PayPal - it’s cheaper.

Ideas?

Sounds like you have the oos option checked.  This hides it from buyers but still keeps it in your "active"

And since it sold, how do I get it to show there?

I can see it in your sold listings.  Take another peek at your Seller Hub and see if it is there now.

The oos option can be checked off or unchecked in site preferences.  But even if it is checked off, the item should still be showing in sold items.

I’ve never gone into site preferences or checked that off. Wonder how it got that way?

A little worried everything is set for OOS now.....

Nope, just checked. My site preferences ARE NOT set to OOS! So why is the listing doing that?

Glitch?  Because if i'm not mistaken, the OOS option can't be set from item to item, it has to apply to everything you sell.

Apparently so, just woke up and the pin has disappeared from Active.

Sheesh. Harmless but, seriously, what if it wasn’t?

That really doesn't make much sense.  That would mean if you run out of one item you have to show all your items as being out of stock.  Of course, I suppose by eBay logic that would appear to be quite logical.

No it would not mean that. 

If you have ten cars with a low fuel light, does that mean that the low fuel light in all ten cars lights up just because one of the cars runs out of gas? No. 

Just because all the cars have the same feature, does not mean the feature in each car can't operate independently.
