Long time member just don’t know how.

Have unfortunate saga to relate.

Basically have not any returns for years.

Sold something buyitnow. Costly.

Its getting supposedly returned. Not back yet.

Buyer said tracking receipt back is in his car & he can’t get to it.

Buyer left total 37 feedback for sellers; 6 negatives 1 neutral. Even his regular positive feedback left for him have problems. 1 positive feedback left for him said police needed to be involved. Others were also bad. He called sellers liars, etc.

Dont want this obviously on my account.

How do I do the PayPal refund &what do I click on eBay to do this with no defects on my account, or problems & to get a full refund from eBay?

Want to avoid this “buyers” wrath.. Want to end this non-transaction easy Peasy .

It was a game changer. Not ok to be a victim here with no protection from elements.

To open a new account you simply register a new user name.

As far as the return you mentioned the buyer has a tracking number but can not get to it right now.

eBay requires all returns to be done through the resolution center which provides the shipping label to ther buyer. The buyer has to show acceptance scan in 5 business days or 7 days total or you the seller can call and have the return request closed in your favor.

Did the buyer open a paypal case or an eBay return request?

Are you asking how YOU can get a refund from eBay for the amount you refund to the buyer through PayPal?

If so, you don't. eBay doesn't refund sellers who have refunded buyers.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding what you are asking.

The buyer can’t get to the receipt in his car so I just thought one day I’ll receive the package back here hopefully with the exact item I sent him.

I don’t think he notified EBay or PayPal anything.

He emailed me 2 weeks after receiving item that he’s returning it & I said fine.

4 days later I asked for the tracking number & he said be patient.

A day later I emailed him saying I’m going on vacation and I’d like to refund him after Receiving item back so sooner I receive it back the better.

Once I’m away can’t do it.

So far very civilized between us but I’m very aware who I’m dealing with.

Nothings ever coming back they are just trying to guilt you into refunding their money prior to anything being returned. It helps resellers lower their bottom line costs so their profits come from your loss....

ebay took a big Commission on this sale too.

Sounds like a crock of horse manure.

I would not refund anything outside of the eBay platform.

If, and when, he contacts you again, I'd tell the buyer he needs to open the return through eBay so you can refund him once you get the item back.

You really need to do it that way anyway. It's procedure. A PayPal refund without an accompanying eBay return electronic paper trail could trigger a defect, and you won't get your selling fees automatically refunded either.

The buyer hasn't filed a complaint, so they can't get a refund unless you just voluntarily give it to them.

The entire thing has to begin with a dispute being opened with ebay or paypal if nothings opened just hit delete whenever the buyer sends a email. Folks like to use the tactic of feedback thats so 1990s no one bothers to even read it anymore... You can be branded with ebay feedback as a liar a thief and a mugger and no one really cares..

Are you really planning to pay him off to try to stop him from leaving bad words in feedback?

If so, then his tactics work. He is getting what he wants. And you will pay for it.

If the feedback he leaves really is "vile" then it will be obvious to most who read it that he is the problem, and not you or the other sellers.
