I am currently serving a 7 day restriction from all selling and buying. GUILTY! I did do something that warranted the restriction. The notification of restriction email from ebay did include..... " Your fixed price listings are hidden from search results for 7 days, and fees won’t be refunded." .....However, one of my items in the fixed price listings sold during this period and was paid for. How is this so?

Don't know if you are still restricted, but I can see your items.........

Definitely still restricted. Tried to list an item just to check and was unable to do so. Restriction should end sometime tomorrow but ebay did not quote a time on the email so I can only assume it went in to affect at the same time the email was sent.

Did they have an effective date for the restriction? If not, sounds like a boo boo on their part.

How did you list auctions that have 4 days left?

You are restricted UNLESS ebay can make more fees perhaps?

I do believe it's a watchlist issue. eBay will not admit to this.
eBay relisted an ended and deleted item of mine from last year, and I believe the only way the buyer was able to access it was through his watchlist. Had two more similar situations today on a different product, the item listing is not active, yet people are contacting me about it.
As someone else on eBay has put this - "How the Glitch stole Christmas"

They still have 4 days left because they were 10 day auctions. They were listed before the restiction.

I could be wrong, it's happened once before.... but,
I believe "hidden" applies to search.... someone with the item on their watch list, a repeat buyer clicking on "see sellers other items", someone searching for your ID specifically or someone from the boards who click on your ID will all have access to your listings.
There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.

I understand you know when your restriction is up and when it started. Sorry this happened to you, OP.
It used to be that you could not list during that period, but your listings that were up could be viewed and purchased. You just couldn't add more listings or revise those showing.
Now it seems they are hiding the listings, but I agree, I believe if it is in someone's Watch List, this could be how they bought.
So it seems they have strengthened the seller's sanctions for policy violations.
How refreshing, OP, I commend your character. Not many admit when they are wrong. They blame others and claim it should not apply to them.

Your "restriction" may be Category Specific ...
