How can close a solved case as seller?

I sold a wireless mouse to a buyer. After the buyer received the item, the buyer did open a case request a return about defect without contact me. Because the buyer did not find out the usb plug of the mouse. I immediately sent a message to help the buyer to find the usb plug that is on the back of the mouse with battery. Problem solved. But the buyer did not reply and close the cases. After a few days, I sent a kindly reminder to request buyer close the case. Still no respond. How can I do?  Should I ask eBay to step in and help by closing the case or just waiting? If eBay to step in, is this affect the seller level ?  Another question, PayPal is holding the transaction, payment placed from account when the buyer opened the case, if eBay can help close the case, how the transaction back or already refunded to buyer ?  Thank you so much for your reading this question topic and helping.
