How can I search by UPC?

Hey guys I just have a simple (I hope) question. I've been selling on ebay a lot more lately, and I mostly sell NOS products that are sometimes difficult to find. Let me give you an example.

I'm selling a generator with the UPC

852157002747

but when I put that into the search field it assumes I'm looking for an ebay product ID and returns this error.

This listing (852157002747) has been removed, or this item is not available.

  • Listings that have ended 90 or more days ago will not be available for viewing.

I'd like to know if it's possible to search by UPC, and if so, how? Please let me know if anyone has experience with this, as I'm pretty frustrated with it.

Buyers search by name, part number, model number, specs, etc.  Most people don't even know what the UPC is for items they want.

When searching with UPC,  I put quote marks before the number:

"852157002747

Not sure why it works, but it usually does.

Right but searching by UPC is more specific than searching by product number, etc.

Hey putting quotes around the number does work!

This issue is now fixed. You no longer need to put quotes around your search to get all the matching items back.

i search by UPC all the time because searching by name gets a lot of junk and people trying to manipulate the search results.

Obviously I don't know the UPC, I go into an ebay listing and copy the UPC.

The UPC also lets me search other sites like amz easily to compare prices.
