I have an item with 100 units but don't want to sell more than 1 unit for the same buyer (or at the same purchase).
How can I do that? Thanks.

I'm selling space rockets and submarines!!!
Look, doesn't matter what I'm selling, my strategy is my business.
Suppose I'm selling a limited number of online courses of 100 hours each, and I don't want that 1 person buy more than 1 course per month because isn't possible to study and do the homework correctly (and will occupy the spot of another person).
People here are more concerned in criticize others than just handling the question.

But you are NOT selling courses where there will be studying and homework, you are selling 100 individual things, although all 100 are the same thing.

Blocked everywhere? You do understand there are more than thirty million sellers on Ebay, with over 1.5 billion listings, and a million sales a day. So no, this guy wont be blocked 'everywhere'.
So, you are saying that the scammer will continue thief people for a long time, maybe years? What do you think about that?
Maybe if the sellers can give Negative feedback to buyers, maybe if ebay investigates better these scamming situations, this marketplace could become a good place, instead of a lot of sellers complaining about losing products and money because of false claims, etc.

Im not sure what your point is, like all online sites, Ebay has scammers, both buyers and sellers. Most sales go off without a hitch. The complaints you see on the boards are just a drop in the bucket..there are more than a million sales a day here..ive been selling here for twenty three years and have had two scam buyers.

I already said, doesn't matter what I'm selling, even the quantity, could be only 10 units or 10 million.
Please, stop snoop other people's business, this is not polite, try to focus on the question only.
I already know the answer: "Isn't possible to restrict the max quantity per buyer", ok, that's it, answered, thanks everyone.
Maybe my next post will be: "How can I restrict answers to focus only on the Question, and not on the OP ?".

With over 185 million members here..of course there are some scammers..like all huge selling sites.

the best surefire way to cut your losses is to just skip selling and hold on to your merchandise instead if selling it.
maybe you are afraid of a freight forwarder also
you sound like your a a timid seller who is scared of buyers
what if China nukes us, then you will be sorry you did not sell them ahead of time
what if............what if
its a leap of faith to sell on ebay and you should take it.
the best way to avoid a scam is knowing your MBG

I don't think eBay is going to focus much effort on creating features that prevent buyers from buying. Especially eBay knows how easy it is to create new accounts.

Does anyone else get the impression we're being baited?

What 'snoop'? There is nothing to snoop with you..

He did not say that he thinks all buyers are scammers. He is simply trying to spread out the risk and limit his exposure to any individual buyer.
This is really not much different than the oft-expressed opinion to "never sell anything you cannot afford to lose". To paraphrase what the OP has said, he can afford to lose 1 phone but he cannot afford to lose 10 phones.
Insurance companies do the same thing. They want to insure 1 million people for $100,000 each, not 1 person for $100 billion.

Yes, I agree, but you still do not understand, if I LIMIT the SELLING, this means that the rogue buyer just bought 1 item (in 1, 3, 6 months, my choice), this guy has a short life on eBay (maybe will be blocked in a few weeks), and PayPal is a little more rigorous than eBay, the buyer really needs to Prove that he is correct. (but as I said, in a few weeks this guy will be blocked everywhere)
Really simple for them just to create another account or purchase one as a guest user. Blocked everywhere would be pretty impressive given there are 19 million sellers on eBay. That's a lot of BBL additions.

In settings you can limit 1 item per buyer every 10 days. The setting is in block buyers list. note: this will make some buyers angry, especially if they are sellers trying to flip your items.

This was my very first thought......OP doesn't want resellers purchasing a bunch of his items to flip.
So @traderusa , raise your prices so there's no profit for a reseller!

Exactly thank you God, at least 1 person here knows what's Risk Management.
