How can I know if Offers were tried?

Hello all,

I notice that some of my BIN / Make an offer with low acceptance has several watches.  (3, 6)

Is there a way I can see the "attempts" to make an offer and if they failed?  I'm trying to get a idea what prices are being offered and which ones are being denied.

Where is that?

Not sure what you mean by attempts?  Are you asking if you can see how many people were going to make an offer until they found out you have the auto-pay feature engaged and backed out instead?

eBay is not going to tell you that.

You can still see how many buyers were turned away for such things as the 2 in 12 block for non-paying strikes, or buying more than x number of items in so many days etc.

But this one, No.  You might even turn those Buyer Rules off if you knew, so you are not allowed that information.  Some sellers have reported an increase in offers/sales when they turned them off.  You just have to know the process for buyers that don't pay.  eBay has made it sound like if you turn them off, you will be overrun with non-payers dropped in your lap from black op helicopters flying over your yard LOL....   eBay should have dispensed with the dead beat buyers instead causing all this drama.

When I go to buy, and find something I would like I check what else the seller has that looks good and put them on my "watch list" to study later.  99% of what I buy is in auction format, so now when I find something I like, I check FIRST if the auto-pay buyer rules are in effect.  If they are, I
don't look further, and move on to another seller.   That seller may get paid right away, but likely at the expense of less bidding activity for those interested in multiple items for a combined shipping price.

eBay is apparently doing some limited testing for combined shipping for auctions.  They allow a buyer to put off paying/auto-pay for seven days or so.  Unfortunately, we don't know if it is available or not until you fork over the payment method PRIOR to proceeding.

I did run across an interesting observation the past couple of weeks:

Note what it is "advertising" in the red box......Save with combined shipping.   At first, I thought it was related to the new "test":

But after hours of checking,  it is ONLY on the listings of sellers that have turned off the "buyer rules".  It  is only for AUCTIONS, because I was checking known sellers on the boards, and my other lists that have indeed dispensed with the buyer rules for auto-pay.  Some of these sellers only had BIN/Make offer listings, and the "save with combined shipping" was not displayed on those even though combined shipping was available.

It was not displayed on any auction listings that had the Buyer Rules in place.  It works pretty fast, too once the requirements are turned off.  A seller turned them off for me so I could bid on eight of her listings.  It showed up as soon as they were turned off.   It would be nice to be able to tell in advance for a change.

I know that, but that "SAVE WITH COMBINED SHIPPING" phrase is on all  your a auction listings.  Presently, it indicates  buyers can win more than one auction without the hassle of providing a payment source first, and paying full shipping on each.....!!

When doing my cursory "research" I checked the listings of everyone I knew had dispensed with the "buyer rules", and it was placed on every auction.  I forgot to check yours, so I did and just wanted to let you know about the new "phrase" placed on your listings.
