I have a buyer who won two items, he's local and wants to pickup the item to save the shipping.
I have no problem with him picking the items up, but how do I change the total in ebay?
I don't see a no shipping option. If I leave it alone, won't ebay charge me FVF on the shipping not collected?
If the seller requests a total, can I send a no shipping invoice on an item that had calculated shipping?
The items at in question though are already sold and the buyer wants to come get them on Tues. since he says he's planning on bidding on some other items on Sun.

There ae several ways to handle this but if the buyer has not paid you the easiest would be to talk with the buyer and simply cancel the order using problem with shipping address, kind of a gray area but since you are not going to ship it, applicable. Relist the item at the price you originally sold the item to the buyer as with BIN with local pickup only. Let the buyer know when you have the new posting(s) up, what the item numbers are and they can make the purchase. The following will give you some tips on handling the local pickup.

Sounds like its more trouble than its worth.
Why wouldn't they just have a simple way to adjust shipping when a buyer requests a total?
Isn't there a way a seller can adjust the shipping total?
Years ago we used to be able to adjust or combine shipping for a buyer who bought multiple items, is that gone now?

Can't you just send him an invoice and change the shipping cost to zero, or to whatever small amount it is that you're going to lose to FVF on shipping? That is, if you trust that he'll follow through with picking it up locally?
Or can you just tell him to pay the full shot, and then reimburse him his shipping cost when he picks the items up? Sure you're gonna lose a fraction to FVF on shipping, but maybe it would be worth it to not have to pack and ship the stuff?
If nothing else works, just tell him you aren't able to meet with anyone for the next few days for whatever reason you want and therefore he has no choice but to have the items shipped to him. You didn't have local pickup as an option, so it's not like you're obligated to do that, right?

I would just refund him after the fact.

The buyer wants to pay cash and pick up the items in person.
I have no problem with that and have no doubt he'll show up and pay.
I just need to know how to deal with closing out the sale on here I guess.
I wasn't sure if there's a way to mark an item paid if it didn't get paid through eBay.
Years ago we could just mark a sold item as paid but now it jumps right to the shipping page with the amount pre-calculated with my only choice being to 'Purchase Label'. I certainly do not want to create a label that I don't need by mistake just looking for the right button to hit.

Pretty sure you can still mark it paid..........go to the item and click on the drop down menu on the left.......
But then the problem is you will get dinged for not sending the item within your handling time and/or item not delivered, even if you mark it shipped.

If you do not cancel and relist with local pickup, you open yourself up to what could become issues:
- eBay system will still expect a shipping scan within your shipping time frame (possibility of defects). Also, there will be no delivery scan proving delivery.
- if the buyer chooses to scam you or return for item not as described the eBay system will force you to pay for return shipping.
- buyer paying you cash (without using eBay local pickup) could also be a problem. Canceling the sales and taking the cash would be unethical and reason for eBay to terminate your account (if they found out or just suspected).
Local pickup works a little differently addressing the above issues and has a scan sheet to prove buyer picked up the item.
