I've got over 3000 clothing items currently with calculated shipping based on the method they are shipped. I have made flat rate shipping policies for priority mail, padded flat rate envelopes, and first class and would like to move all current listings to these policies, i can go down the list and checkmark each then bulk edit shipping method my main problem is some listings I will not know for sure which method I have selected unless I go into the listing which will be very time consuming also i would have to keep track better of which is which doing it this way, I cannot sort my shipping price as they are all calculated. Would there be a quicker way to switch these all over?

I had a similar problem when I was trying to determine which items had free shipping and which had calculated. Here is what I did. Since your request is a little different I am not sure if it will work but it will only take a few minutes to find out.
Go to your list of active listings.
Above that list, off to the right it will say "customize table". Click on that.
A new box will open with assorted columns one of which will be "pricing". Down that list will be a box Shipping Cost: Click on the box.
That will automatically move it into the right hand box marked "Arrange". Most likely at the bottom of the list. You can move it up and down if you wish.
Then click save.
Then, back on your active listings page, look for the column marked "shipping cost" Hover your mouse over the words "shipping cost" and click. It will then sort all your listings in ascending order.
Now in my case it put all the "calculated" at the top of the list and all the "free shipping" after that.
Should do the same for you by "flat rate", "Padded", etc.

They unfortunately all show up as "calculated" as they did for you

Sorry. Although it does seem odd that since you have some marked "flat rate" that they will still come back as calculated.
