How Long does a Buyer Have to Pay?

One of my auctions, a high-priced one, ended at 1:40 yesterday, both eBAY and I sent out  invoices to the buyer.

It’s now almost 24 hours later and still no payment. How long does eBay wait to send out a Second  Chance offer  to the second highest bidder?

I don’t think there is anything I can do other than re-send the invoice.

There is no need for you to send an invoice to a buyer that has made just one purchase.  Ebay sends them the email, so it isn't necessary for you too and you don't want the buyer to get mad about too many emails.

How many days a buyer has to pay is completely up to the seller.  With that said, Ebay allows seller to file for a Cancellation of the transaction using the reason the payment never arrived 96 hours after the purchase.  A couple things to keep in mind here.  Every time you send the buyer an invoice, it restarts that 96 hour clock, so don't send reminder invoices.  Again Ebay does that anyway.

Also NEVER issue a Second Chance offer until your original transaction is completed.  Meaning you cancelled it.

OK I typed all that and then realized this is an Old Thread.  WHOOPS.
