Hold times calling paypal.

People are reporting hold times up 2 hours or more.

Tried calling tonight, estimate wait, 49 minutes.

Is there a strike going on or something?

Not sure but it's been like that for about a week now. Maybe something to do with the holidays (depending on where the call is directed to)

All those purchases for the holidays are now coming back to roost.

I bet both ebay and paypal CS are very busy handling calls.

Of course it could be more people like me calling in who had a "payment not covered" email when it should have been under seller protection rules.

I also notice more (I assume) outsourced CSR as well.

It is also the end of the year tax time!

I thought PayPal had the option of leaving your phone number,

and they would call you back when your **place in line** was up.  That way you don't have to carry your phone around with you with its speaker on, for when somebody actually gets online with you.

Also, it looks like PayPal changed it's phone number. I wonder if they got a new call center?
