devon@ebay While I await a response from the Marketing Team about Holiday Marketing, just want to suggest something---no big deal, but something that might provide some incremental traffic/sales for ebay.
Currently I see the ebay homepage is running an ebay funded 20% off coupon sale for a couple days on selected items. This doesn't get me any sales directly, but I can see some value in this for me because it can draw buyers to shop other stuff as well (I hope).
One reason I ask that ebay keep us updated on this stuff (and I know they CAN, because they already do it for the ebay Partner Network) is pretty simple: If I know in advance that ebay is doing a 20% off coupon sale, I might consider running one to coincide with ebay's sale---especially if ebay would provide a way to market this on the Home Page, even if just a graphic link to "ebay stores with 20% off coupons". In other words, give us some ability to piggyback on to sales like this.
Another component of this could be: How about providing us with a page of ready made graphics in the new Social Media Tool so we can promote ebay's 20% off sale on our social media pages, along with our own sale?
These are just rough ideas, but if ebay would work WITH sellers when it comes to marketing, we could ALL benefit---sellers and ebay alike.
