If that's the verification code I'm thinking of, there should be an option where you can just enter the code without having to call.  There's also an option for text communication with eBay.

Thanks for the reply, here's a message like this :Call us at 1-866-643-1607 and mention security code 8716558***. This is not the same confirmation code to confirm your account.

If you use an IP Relay service, you can use the same number.

It sounds (from what I've read) like they want to verify your device or IP - the site depends on cookies and some account use history, IP address and the like, so if the site can't detect that, up pops that message. You might try listing again and see if that message doesn't go away - it has for some others.  I'm thinking I had it pop up once and just listed later on and it was OK. If that doesn't work I'd contact eBay customer support through an IP relay - there used to be a direct link for that but I'm not finding it.

Are you sure that is the correct number? Though ebay 800 #'s always start 866, I show that to be an unassigned/DOA number.

Yup ... Out of bordom, I dialed it and I got the standard "The number you have reached....." blah blah blah. So I'd say that is the case.
