Help with posting my Ebay items on my Facebook page

I'm in the midst of selling some furniture (for "local pickup only"), and wonder:

1) Can I post the listings on my personal Facebook page (so that my friends and friends-of-friends can see the links, click, and be taken to my Ebay account to look/purchase) ~ and ~

2) IF somebody buys one of the pieces, am I obligated to pay Facebook a fee (I know there's a "Facebook Marketplace" where you pay a fee when you sell something).

And tips/warning/etc?

Thank you!

Yes you are allowed (and encouraged) to do this.

If you check this link:

https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/growth/ebay-partner-network

If you sign up for the partner network you can get a customized link, if a buyer clicks your link on social media you can get a 100% credit for FVF's.

I think you still get dinged the 30 cent fee and 2.9% for the payment processing but I'm not sure of the exact details.

There are no fees from facebook if the link is on your personal pages, fees only kick in if you list it in the actual Marketplace.

You can place the link anywhere, it doesn't just need to be facebook.

I would just list them on my FB page.

Why would you want to pay eBay a fee when it sells, if you can sell it local off FB?

This really isn't the place to ask questions about another site.

@divwido

The OP isn't asking about "another site." S/he's asking how to create a post on Facebook that would direct interested parties to her eBay account.

" . . . (so that my friends and friends-of-friends can see the links, click, and be taken to my Ebay account to look/purchase) . . . "

At the top of my listings, there is the word "Share" .  It allows you to share your items on multiple platforms, email, etc. easily.

Does anyone know if it is an absolute must to be a member of Facebook to buy something? I'm guessing yes, but if there's a chance I'd go look at their stuff.

Pretty sure you can't even get to Facebook Marketplace unless you're signed in. So yes.
