Guys I just got an offer that said for me to text him so I did and I’m pretty sure this is a scam but I want to make this sale so what do I do?

I read the text exchange before it was deleted, and just wanted to say kudos to you for insisting the sale remain on eBay, and thwarting this scammer’s plans.
If he had convinced you to take it off-site, and then you ended the listing, eBay could have billed you for the Final Value fees anyway. They can see the contact info exchange and then the ended listing, and extrapolate it was an off-site transaction.
There would be no benefit to you, in fact, just the opposite. Ebay has come down hard on perceived off-site sales lately. So glad your instincts were good.

Not "hard" enough when initialed by a crook sending a message via the eBay message system.
Though years ago it was suggested that "if it came in the ebay messages" it was some sort of indication of the veracity of the communication. That is no longer true, and the ebay message system is now used for a variety of scams.
You can do little to report these message senders since there is no "report the message" feature anymore, and you can't use the site to report any problem unless the user actually bought something from you.

To be precise, it was an indication that the message was sent from an eBay account; that's all. Thus you could, for example, be sure that the message was really coming from a buyer of yours and not someone pretending to be him.
The message itself could still be a scam or an invitation to one, especially if it was asking the recipient to either text a phone number or contact a particular outside email address.

Yes it's a scam. You'll also find lots of "text me" buyers on Craigslist.
They might be selling your cell phone number right now.
