Help please! Problem with Best Offer

I have listed an item for sale.

I listed it as a fixed price.

I want to accept best offers.

The problem is , it does not give me an option to add best offer to my listings.

How do I add or find the best offer option?

When I selected fixed price, it does not give me the option to select best offer anywhere.

Thanks for your help

Re: Help please! Problem with Best Offer

When you hit the fixed price button when you are writing up the listing, the best offer box is automatically checked, and if you don't to accept offers, you have to manually uncheck it. Are you sure you are not listing for an auction? I have the opposite happening that I rarely take offers and have to go in and revise the listing to make sure I am NOT accepting best offers. Revise your listing and go through that section slowly and you shouldn't have a problem. Be sure to hit the revise it button at the end so the new information registers.

Re: Help please! Problem with Best Offer

Where are you creating the listing from? Are you using a computer or mobile?

Try this link:

http://bulksell.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SingleList&sellingMode=AddItem

Re: Help please! Problem with Best Offer

I had this problem last week and called eBay customer service and found the solution:

For some reason they had removed the best offer option from the default (quick) listing page.  You need to switch to using the "Advanced" listing tool instead of the "Quick" listing tool.  Then, the best offer option will show up, as well as some other things that are not visible on the quick listing tool.  (To do this, 1) click on the "Sell" link to the left of the "My eBay"  link at the top right of (almost) any eBay page.  2) click on "Switch to advanced listing tool" at the top right of that page."

Hopefully this will fix the problem for you, as it did for me!

What happens when you click on see recommended view?

Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

Re: Help please! Problem with Best Offer

I have Windows 10, using Internet Explorer 11, and the Advanced option showed up for me.  Just make sure you click "Sell" (not My eBay) at the top of an eBay page, as I mentioned earlier.  Once you click Sell, doesn't it have an option at the top right of the screen to switch to "Advanced"?

If not, I feel for you, because I know how frustrating it is.  I would then call customer service.  They were actually very helpful to me the other day.

Best Offer is the same as shooting yourself in the foot.

Just my $.02, but I think you're better off leaving your listings as-is, without Make Offer. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can use Immediate Payment Required on a BuyItNow listing if Make Offer is used as well, and you really need the IPR requirement. Without that, a scammer or sport bidder can yank your listing off the market without actually paying you for it first. Rather than mess about with Make Offer haggling back and forth, just decide what you want to get for the item and set your price there. Be sure that the Immediate Payment Required box is checked when preparing your listing.

You also don't need Signature Confirmation on sales below $750. Delivery Confirmation is all the proof of delivery that you'll need for your seller protection.
