I only have USPS shipping on my listings. Ground Advantage
I am trying to ship an order to Oregon City, OR (which might be a freight forwarder.) The address is wonky - it has a Unit number and nobody's name. Buyer's ID says United States....
When I try to ship it, it says buyer selected Ground Advantage.... but when I click "get shipping label" is defaults to UPS GROUND and I cannot change it. USPS Ground Advantage is grayed out.
What is happening??
I just shipped 10 other orders with zero problems.

No, the buyer cannot change the shipping option. Perhaps there's a typo in the package measurement? Or eBay doesn't recognize the street address and thinks it's a PO Box? As a last resort, you can purchase your Ground Advantage label elsewhere online such as USPS Click N Ship.

Thank you for your reply @nobody*s_perfect . I didn't think a buyer could change it... I was freaking out for a minute:-)
I think it is that USPS doesn't recognize the address the way it is written. There is no "name" and the address is in the "name" spot. It's all messed up.
I do not feel confident that it will arrive as addressed so I don't want to try to mail it elsewhere. The item sold for a decent amount and I don't want to risk it. I messaged the buyer. I think I am going to have to cancel the order using the problem with buyer's address code.

They can only change it before they check out, however, if you gave options for them to choose from either USPS, UPS, FedEx they can choose their option, but only before they checkout. Now they might contact you and see if it can be changed but that would involve You both agreeing to cancel the transaction relist it and have them check out to the one, they prefer.

I had an item like this, I ended up going to the USPS site and entering the address there, and got an alert on the site that the address was not able to receive mail from the USPS. I don't know why, but I canceled the sale based on the problem with the address.

What happens when you put the address into Google Maps?
And then do Street View?
Usually I am pretty happy about freight forwarders
But I would also be concerned if the buyer was incapable of filling out the address of their chosen forwarder.

Not that you would have to or want to but the option to cancel because of the shipping address (choose problem with shipping address) is available to you without having to take a defect. I have had it happen in the past where Ebay advised me to cancel, relist and have the customer fix there address before purchasing it again. I am not aware of another way you can change or modify the address without doing it outside of Ebay. Unless something changed.

@reallynicestamps it comes up as a type of home improvement business and appears to be in a big building w/ multiple businesses. It doesn't seem to be a freight forwarder.... I just assumed because of the look of the address... it has a unit number and then a number with the letters "MD."
I'm getting "something is off" vibes. The buyer has not replied. I don't know how they got registered on Ebay without a name attached to their address? They have 5 feedback.
I am going to cancel using problem w/ buyer's address.

You can have anything in the name section on your shipping address, it really doesn't matter.

I agree, but I still don't feel comfortable .
One of my buying accounts uses my eBay name rather than my personal name. Since it comes to my home this is not a problem.

If USPS didn't recognize the address, there would be a message on your screen telling you there was a problem with the address.
You should try to create the shipping label elsewhere. There should be no need to cancel this sale. This is likely just a OOPS in the Ebay system. Go to another site you use for creating shipping labels and see if it allows you to create one. You can stop short of paying for the label if you are concerned.
Heck you can go directly to the USPS site, set up an account and then try to create a label. There you will get your answer if there is something wrong with the address.
