And that's no exaggeration. In the last 48 hours I've had 3 return requests- ALL FALSELY CLAIMED AND THERES NOTHING EBAY WILL DO TO SIDE WITH ME.
1. A buyer said I inaccurately described an item and misled her to believe a pair of jeans were lightweight vs heavyweight. I told the buyer four times that they ARE lightweight denim and you can even see that they are described as such from the retailers website. She continued to ignore me, said I falsely described the item and I had no choice but to accept the return.
2. a buyer posted a photo of her wearing a pair of Chanel sunnies I sold her. She tilted the arm of the sun glass to make it look like the sunglasses are crooked saying they're defective. I bought these from the realreal in pristine condition, they did not sit on my face that way. She literally posted fake images.
3. a customer bought a shirt I described as NWOT which is true- the shirt actually even still has a upc stick stuck to the inside of the shirt under the label (this was an e-commerce purchase so they keep upc stickers on the items). She sends a return request saying my shirt is defective and not new without tags LMAO
IS EVERYONE OKAY!!)???? How tf are we all selling on this platform when they clearly do NOT care about us. Sellers- how are you avoiding these false claims??? What can I do to protect myself from these morons?

I have been on here 20 years and thought I had seen everything. There are HONEST people who buy. I am one. What I hate are sellers that do dumpster dives or thrift store treks and then throw these items into commercial washers with harsh soap. You then pay for NWOT and expect it to be just that--not laced with odors that almost knock you down. It stinks. It does not wash out. People are sensitive to odors and they also know that new clothes do not wreak of cheap perfume. I had three sellers in a row do this. All said No Returns. Two sent postage and a refund, and I returned the items. One blamed me for being STUPID. We know just how ethical she is.

The flip side is that No Returns means be suspicious and find another seller. Also, if it really is a ripoff, eBay will take care of it, provide postage and handle the refund. I had this occur with a wrongly sized expensive blouse. The very nasty seller decided to file a complaint, and she had to pay for the return. Then, there was the person who threw a breakable tray into a flimsy box and refused to do a return. I filed with eBay and got my money back. She probably is still selling junk.

This is an old thread from 2023. OP selected their best answer and still sells, so I doubt they'll reply.
Should you have any questions or concerns it is always a good idea to start your own thread to get the help and advice for your specific issue.

No one asked for a response. I guess subtraction is not one of your attributes.
