I apologize if this has already been discussed. But this is a first for me. I received an email from eBay: "DELIVERED....." Then: "Great News! Your order has arrived at (my address) Hope you enjoy your order". This came from eBay, not the seller. Must be something new?

That seems to be the "new thing"...........got the same from Target on something recently.............

No, wasn't aware of it.

Yes, I 've been geting it for a couple of weeks, and I hate it - just more junk emails from this place. I can go to my mailbox and see if "it is arrived", are they nuts or what????

In Communication settings -> Buyer -> Item Recieved
Not sure if this is a new choice or not as I have everything selected. If it is then turn them off and while you are there turn off any of the other messages you consider to be "junk".
I know some people DO like to get this type of notification for various reasons.

At least half a dozen retailers have sent me a delivered message recently, where a year ago only 2 (very small) retailers did. It's gaining in popularity.

I've been getting these for a while, but what I want to know is why am I getting them after I leave feedback for the seller? Of course it's arrived, that's why I left feedback, I know all about it. Why is eBay sending me an email about something that I clearly know about already?

New to eBay it feels but it's about 2 years old on some other sites I've used, many of which use Shopify as their storefront.

I’ve been getting these from eBay for a few months now.

I've been getting them for a few months. I like them. My packages are brought to my door when I have packages going out, but if I don't have any sales that day, I sometimes forget to check my box. Especially when it's 10 degrees out!

This has been going on for many months now. It is not new.
This may be a preventative measure against false INR claims, or simply a heads up to let you know that it has arrived, so if you don't have it, you are alerted to take steps to locate it.
