Have i accidentally not been refunding customers in full?

I've noticed lately when refunding a return for customers that I need to write something in the description as it states "a description is needed for any deductions" then on the next page it states "Usps label will be deducted from buyers purchase price refund for amount of (the shipping cost)". That sentence along with the previous reason has me thinking that ebay is actually deducting the return shipping cost from my customers, and therefore I must refund the original shipping cost to make it a free return as my policy states, have I accidently been not refunding my customers fully by not refunding the original shipping cost then they take the return shipping from my customers purchase price as stated in ebays Sentence? I also don't want to be accidentally Refunding shipping both ways for buyers remorse so getting this correct is crucial, any responses are appreciated.

No, you are NOT 'partially' refunding customers unless you are INTENTIONALLY doing it.

The 'comment' for 'deduction' is if YOU are 'deducting'; you would then give a reason why.

Otherwise, you leave it blank and refund as shown and customer is refunded 100% (after eBay gives share of 'fees' and 'taxes').

I just looked at a couple of your listings.  Your policy appears to be 'accepts returns, buyer pays shipping'.

What that means is should a buyer actually choose something in the order of "doesn't fit" it would be considered a 'remorse return' and return shipping is on the buyer.

At the same time, buyers are not stupid, and know what to choose from the dropdown menu so that YOU are required to front the return label or shipping cost.   If they file a "not as described" reason , then YOU are on the hook for the return shipping even if they put it didn't fit in the comments

Once the selection is made by the buyer, it initiates  an automatic program with predictable and known results.  Buyer comments are not considered, either is your description orphotos.  The product becomes what the buyer chooses.
