To start, the reason I feel that eBay's current war on hand sanitizer is wrong is because they are taking away people's ability to get the products that they desperately need. With most sources dried up, eBay was was the last hope for a lot of people.
And before you all go regurgitating eBay's righteous efforts to thwart price gougers, they could have simply set up a process for people to report price gouging. THAT would keep the vast majority of sellers in check.
I was selling a lot of scented Hand Sanitizers in the 1 ounce Pocketbac style. I actually DROPPED my prices when this all happened so that people could get what they needed. But i do understand if some sellers wanted a small price increase as the laws of supply and demand take effect.
Now I am ok with all my sanitizer listings being removed. I have many other listings to help compensate, and I have been loyal to the eBay community for more than 20 years. I am simply trying to suggest that there may have been an alternate course of action that could have been taken.
Lastly, I am sure that when this is all over, eBay will remove the ban on those categories.
Until then, everyone stay healthy. And like a meme I saw on Facebook...constantly wash your hands as if you just handled chilipeppers and need to put your contacts in. Lol

There are many cornaviruses. This is a particularly bad one. Does most know that Lysol spray says it kills cornoviruses? Just wondering why there isn't a shortage of Lysol?

Shhh ... It's still a secret-not. No way that stuff is healthy for your lungs,if you're spraying it alot(especially if your windows are closed). Like everything else only 99.99% effective anyway, yah? Hold your breath till the Lysol fog clears.😝

For Anybody Making Their Own Hand Sanitizer --- Been reading up while waiting on my Lavender Aloe Gel to be delivered. The following is from LinkedIn,but also read it elsewhere................
"The 100% isopropyl alcohol coagulates the proteins instantly by creating a protein layer that protects the other proteins from further coagulation. Due to this microbes are not killed but remains in dormant stage. While 70% isopropyl alcohol solution penetrates in the cell wall at slower rate and coagulates the all protein of the cell wall and microorganism dies."

Personally, in your case 1 would avoid vodka wipedowns and then walking close to open flames. Could give a not good new meaning to the terms "B00K" burning. ♨️ or "Your Fired" 🙄

I'm going to make my own too. I can't find Aloe Vera gel anywhere but I found a recipe with glycerin oil.

I did a test a couple of weeks ago. Bought 2 plastic mist bottles from dollar store. Filled 1 with 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1 with 71% rubbing alcohol. Good to go.
Tried each separately and let spray set on hands/surfaces I contacted for 2 minutes. My hands dried... germs dead. Then just applied hand lotion as normal....
No need... the spray is not like "acid" on your hands and blends well with your normal hand lotion. Your 2 minute spray & wait killed virus... what's not to like???:)
Think about it…..

It was 1.67 for 24 oz of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 3.00 for a quart of 71% rubbing alcohol.... less than 5.00 for a 2 month supply for 1 person:)

I purchased 6 bottles of hand sanitizer in Jan. The evaporation rate is super accelerated, IMO compared to just spraying a good dripping dose of rubbing alcohol from a simple spray bottle... same for 3% hydrogen peroxide.

Actually purchased a couple new spray bottles to maybe give that a try. Doesn't it reak havoc on your skin to just use the straight alcohol tho? I can always save the aloe for summertime skin.☀️

Yes, straight isopropyl alcohol is pretty drying, but you can counteract it by applying skin oil (jojoba, vitamin e, avocado, etc) after the alcohol has evaporated.

why is it i still see hand sanitizer for sale from a seller like halodival23( 3 equate at $2000 each, soells it sanitiser) and masks from china yet i cant sell anything along those lines? i got warned for selling a cuba coin and i see them listed everyday. seems like eBay lets sones sellers sell and others get in trouble

EBay search as of March 27 still produces tons of listings for hand sanitizer at outrageous prices. eBay is lying about banning hand sanitizer. What an unethical company full of price gouging greedy sellers. I’ll never do business with eBay Or their seller community because of how they have behaved during this covid-19 crisis. Neither can be trusted again.
