Halloween Items Not Selling - A Race to the Bottom? Christmas Going to be Like this Also??

We have never had a Halloween sales slump like this - not in all the years on here.  Our Halloween items are not selling and there are so many items priced well below our wholesale pricing AND they offer FREE Shipping with that Race to the Bottom, Sandwich ~ THANK you so very much!  (We offer Free shipping, but I cannot sell something for $8 + free shipping, when our cost was $5.40/per and MSRP is $24.99)

Everything from Disney Princess costumes, wigs, flashlights - even Buzz Lightyear costumes and accessories are not selling like usual and we're not going to sell a full costume for $12.95 + free shipping.

I am concerned.  Is this what Christmas is shortly about to look like?  This Race to the Bottom (several items today from Sellers I have bookmarked have again lowered pricing by $1-$3 per item to try and get them to sell) is really concerning.  At least we sold several more Pokemon oreos today - 4 less packs I do not have to eat.  🙂

I hope you are right and it is at least, "very good" for Sellers.

Our FBA boxes were input late last night and we have sold 9 FBA items from those boxes so far today.  

Buyers are buying, just not in the sell-thru on e-Bay they are other places.  Which is really unfortunate.  Clearly the "A" site gets a bang for its advertising budget.  (apples and oranges, I know....but fruit salad some days, so not so far off)

Buyers will certainly take the path of least resistance in acquiring their items ... then if they DO happen to make an eBay purchase after some difficulty they may wind up blaming the Seller ... right?!?

For myself I don't sell a lot of seasonal items @meme6253 , BUT I do have one of those 180 hour pumpkins ... maybe I'll just save it for a lengthy power outage LOL!  The thing weighs a ton!!!

We sold everything that went to FBA. 

Sold very little on here.  Sold a pilgrim today.  Where have all the Buyers gone??

Sweaters ???   Here at Christmas it is high summer (95-100 degree), so sweater sales would be doomed. Some sellers do well with themed T shirts and board shorts I beleive.

Amazon is another issue as we all know. 

What still bothers me is when fake Apple Stores that were set up in China and our U.S.A. corporations still does business with them.

We have Canada, Mexico, and South America that we can do business with, but our corporations are still focused on China.

I wonder if any of our corporations have representatives in China over looking quality control of products manufactured? Are they overlooking the material supply chain? Where is the material coming from and the testing of contents before manufacturing. Most of us have probably received second hand / factory defects in the past let alone pet food produced in China that killed pets in the U.S.A. in the past.

Started this thread on 9-14-21 with non-existent Halloween sales. Halloween is in 2 days - never improved or got into "gear". Most disappointing Halloween sales run for us, ever.

We are less than 60 days from Santa's arrival and our sales are worse now than on 9/14. Really did not think that could be possible!
