Good Morning Everyone.
I had one item out of two removed, the message read
"We had to remove you listing because it didn't follow our Animal products policy. Products from endangered or protected species are not allowed and other wildlife products need to include specific information"
The title/description of the item states "Antique Miniature Portrait Painting in Celluloid Faux Ivory Frame, Signed"
In trying to solve the issue I discovered that there is no longer customer service.
Does anyone have any idea of how I can resolve the issue or how I could reach someone at Ebay other than Facebook (I don't do Facebook).
Thanks

I just celluloid bangle bracelet in ivory color. Do they eventually lift the restriction? So because I am listing truly vintage Bakelite I cannot say vintage anymore? Can I use the word in my description if I do not use it in my title I am just trying to sell two family members collections that I inherited. I have a perfect rating this is so upsetting and utterly ridiculous. I was using that chat thing three days ago explaining what happened and they emailed me back saying why my item was removed after telling them 15 times it was not listed as ivory and never explained that I could not list items . I Am ready to leave eBay . How long do they restrict you forever

You can resolve it quite easily by listing it as a "celluloid frame", without mentioning "ivory".

We have no way to know. What does the message say?
They just started these restrictions recently. Nobody has reported yet that the restriction has been lifted, but AFAIK it has only been a few weeks.
Vintage and Antique are the most overused keywords there are. Nobody searches for them, so they're a waste anyway. Just put an approximate time frame, like the decade instead.

Thank you I removed the words you said it worked but it is sad the products are old and no one will know now. I find this entire thing so wrong when all I said was ivory colored from something I was selling for about $6 so ridiculous. I would never sell anything illegal

Many buyers hate the keyword "vintage" because it is so overused and misused. You're better off not using it anyway. Just look at all the brand new jewelry being listed from India as "vintage" [style]. I wouldn't be surprised if some buyers don't exclude that keyword, because of all the misuse.
Of course you can still say that it's "old". The best thing to do would be say "mid-century" or give the decade it was made, if you can identify that.

Of course they will know it's old. Anyone looking for Bakelite jewellery knows it's old, as it has been several decades since Bakelite was produced for anything other than certain industrial uses.
