Curious if others who use custom HTML in their item descriptions are experiencing this. Starting yesterday, I noticed that the formatting in my item descriptions was getting messed up when creating a new listing or editing an existing listing.
Checking the HTML, I saw that ebay is now automatically converting "b" tags (used for bolding) to "strong" tags, maybe part of an accessibility push. I don't have a problem with that. But they seem to be doing the conversion in the worst possible way.
Any "br" tag (line break) in my HTML got converted to "strongr", which is straight gibberish and not an actual HTML tag. Whatever screwed-up conversion logic ebay is using seems to be looking for the letter "b" within HTML tags and then converting that to "strong".
So if you have any line breaks within your item description, those are now erased and replaced with an invalid tag. I reached out to ebay CS and they said they would flag it to the tech team, but no idea if the tech team will actually see it.
Anybody else seeing this happen?

See this post on the technical issues board here: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Report-eBay-Technical-Issues/eBay-randomly-inserting-lt-strongr-gt-int...
eBay is aware of the issue, and an ALERT ticket is open.
