Most that respond in the Community are volunteering their time to try and help others when they run into a bump in the road. There is no need to yell at us. We are not responsible for whatever occurred.
I'm sure you are talking about a Defect that will appear on your Seller Dashboard.
https://sellerstandards.ebay.com/dashboard?region=US
What method did you use to contact Ebay in order to try and get it removed as there are several ways in which to contact Ebay?
Sometimes, for reasons I don't agree with, they don't remove the Defects because of some lame excuse that you don't have many and it won't likely hurt you. Or something like that. I know I don't have a crystal ball to tell me the future of my account and I'm confident they don't either. IMHO all defects should be removed when they are done inaccurately.
I would recommend that you try contacting Ebay again using a different method than you did before. I also strongly suggest you stay in control, polite and professional. Remember you have a goal to get this defect removed. You want the person helping you to WANT to help you, not just get rid of you because you are rude.

On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.
https://twitter.com/askebay
https://www.facebook.com/ebay
https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

BTW - a lot of Community posters are older. Typing in allcaps is the same as shouting at the top of your lungs. It's considered rude, and is very difficult to read at best.
What the OP needs to do, as stated above, is to go off of eBay to one of the Social websites. Send a message with full details : Item purchased date/time. The date shipped was X. X-1 was a federal Monday holiday and all post offices were closed, in addition to being closed the day prior. Given an eBay defect for late shipping, which needs to be removed per eBay's own rules. The reps at one point couldn't remove negative feedback, even when warranted; I'm not sure about defects.

FYI: That perception on all caps is NOT reserved for "older" people. There have been studies done that the written words in all caps is yelling.

There is other info on the subject with a simple internet search. 😍

Don't worry, people don't really think that typing in all caps is yelling. It is just a way to pick at someone. If they really feel that way, I'm convinced that they've never been yelled at before. Maybe it is just an age thing, or a mental challenge.

@powell-collectibles Uh, no, all caps has denoted yelling on the internet for over 30 years. I definitely do actually perceive it as yelling and rude.
"The 1880 book The Standard speaker and elocutionist has a section titled "SHOUTING STYLE", which states that "This will be seldom needed throughout an entire piece, but wherever the words imply calling, or commanding, it will be in keeping with the words to employ it. As examples note the following selections marked in CAPITAL letters as the appropriate place for shouting emphasis." A large number of literature examples are then given where all caps has been used to represent shouting."
"Its equivalence to shouting traces back to at least 1984 and before the Internet, back to printed typography usage of all capitals to mean shouting."
Both quotes from the Wikipedia article on All Caps.

I understand that it is widely considered to be the online equivalent of yelling. But, I don’t have to pretend my ears hurt from somebody actually yelling at me.
I tend to not take things in the worst possible light. Some people like all caps, some people might not even notice that they have the all caps button pressed. I can’t feign distress.
And yes, there is a huge difference between yelling and all caps. Yelling in public can get you charged with disturbing the piece. Writing in all caps just gets you a “lesson” from the clutch-your-pearls club.

@powell-collectibles I didn't see anyone clutching pearls. I saw people informing the poster that it's generally considered rude. That's it.

Hi @jade73 . The 20+ sales you shipped on Tuesday 20th Jan - I realize you shipped on time, but did they all receive scans within your handling time or did the carrier apply delayed scans?
If they were not scanned on time, despite shipping on time, and they arrived past the estimated delivery dates, then those are legit late shipping marks that can't be removed, unfortunately.
If the packages were scanned within your handling time, come back and @ mention me in your reply and I'll have you check one of your settings.
Also - when you check this report, accessible through your Seller Dashboard, what does it say under the "reason" column for those 20+ shipments?

We'll have to disagree on this one. Seems like a usual response is "why are you yelling at me?"
Regardless, what if some consider it to be rude? Isn't it a bit snooty to pick on someone else's lack of etiquette, their job, their level of education, their wealth?
Maybe typing in all caps is a bit like wearing a baseball cap inside of a restaurant. I had a cap on the other day, walked into a breakfast restaurant with my sweetie, and I took it off. Plenty of guys there wearing caps, and maybe a woman or two. I didn't walk up to any one of them to point out their etiquette shortcomings. Do I prefer that people take off their caps or hats when indoors? Sure - that's how I was raised. But it isn't my business to tell someone how to dress, and it isn't the pearl-clutchers' business to police the writing style of posters on these boards.
07-01-2025 11:21 AM
@powell-collectibles Again, I haven't seen anything I would even remotely consider "pearl-clutching", and that in itself is insulting to throw around.
Do you go into a restaurant and yell at the staff? At other patrons? That would be a much closer equivalent.
I don't see any reason we shouldn't point it out.
And that's aside from the fact that it's much harder for many of us to read all caps.
07-01-2025 11:26 AM
Well, we won't agree that yelling at people is not the same as writing in all caps. If that's how you feel, that's how you feel. I'll just have to tell my boss, who writes in all caps on his hand-written notes (not his e-mails), that the next time he passes a note to me during a meeting, I'm reporting him to HR.
