HELP - cannot accept any form of payment, setting won't allow me to change

Hello, I am in urgent need of assistance. I am a new seller and I have my paypal account connected to my ebay account. I sold an item through auction but the buyer is telling me that I do not accept credit cards. I see that on the seller account settings, it says that Ebay no longer allows new sellers to accept credit cards, they want everything to be paypal which I understand except it also says on my seller settings that I don't allow paypal and there is no option to change it. So I don't allow any form of payment? I am very confused and need help ASAP

Is this for the wizard collection? Your listing says you accept Paypal, which of course means credit cards can be used there.

Yes! So is this an issue on my buyer's end?

 

This is what my settings page looks like. The edit button only takes me to the sales tax table.

As the other poster said your listings show that you take PayPal and the major credit cards do I don’t know why your buyer is having a problem. Those settings that you are looking at are out of date and really don’t mean anything as all sellers have to accept PayPal and whichever cards PP processes.

I don't know if this is the case but sometimes new sellers are considered 'marks' by scammers.  Don't under any circumstances give them any info about your PayPal account.  What kind of feedback do they have?  Where are they located.  If you have their name and address google it and see what shows up.  Trust your gut.

What that part of the page in your settings is basically saying is that sellers can't use their own Merchants Account to accept payment.  What you are encountering is VERY much like the typical scam where the buyer requests your e-mail address - for direct payment - and the seller then gets a fake email saying that you've been paid and it will be released just as soon as you prove shipping by sending the tracking number.  Unless there is a typo in your PayPal settings, I would suggest cancelling the transaction and blocking/reporting the buyer.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.
