Hello my eBay friends! Is anyone out there having a very slow week? I usually sell 4 items on average/day but this past week, I haven’t sold anything! Did eBay change some algorithms or something? Lol. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or has suggestions/advice. Please help! Thanks in advance for your time!

OP - others have also posted that sales seem to have slowed lately. We too are a Seller wondering what is affecting our overall sales on this site, as sales on other sites are up. Other posters have pointed out the change in weather, relaxing of covid constraints, tax bills due on 5/15, etc.
I did look at your listings to see what types of items you were selling to see if they were more seasonal oriented, etc. and that was the reason for the slow, etc. With what you sell, perhaps with covid restrictions lifted, buyers are back to their salons vs DIY?
I did not realize that e-bay allowed purchasing of a trademarked product in bulk and then re-packaging it into your own containers and sell it as the manufacturer's product. I really did think that was prohibited on this site. Learn something new on the boards every day.

It is now the 13th and I have sold ONE ITEM all month. And that was for $3.00! At this rate I may starve to death. I do get a very small check from the government each month, but eBay was supposed to supplement that. I keep listing, I keep lowering my prices, I keep trying. It's getting very depressing.

Took a look at your listings. It appears that your prices are much higher than your competitors. Costume jewelry is a very hard sale because ebay is flooded with it. Best of luck to you.

Thank you. You too.

I am so sorry. Do you promote your listings at all? Run a sale?
Unfortunately, this timing is a perfect storm as now the categories and item specifics are a hot mess.
Every seller has access to Terapeak now, not just those with stores. Have you searched on there for completed listings to get an idea of the range of where your items are selling currently? Can you offer some groupings, where people might search for "set(s) or lot(s)"?
My apologies as I do not sell the type(s) of items you do. I too had a really slow period for a couple of weeks in April and things had seemed to spring back into play, minus the past few days with the category debacles.
Best of luck to you. Hang in there.

I work B&M retail and jewelry has not been selling well at all for quite awhile aside from casual things that people would wear at home/to the store/etc. It's not a surprise-- there's really nowhere to wear fancier stuff right now, so people just plain aren't purchasing it.

I do promote 99% of my items, and I do look at Tera peak. (isn't allowing me to type as one word). But a lot of times Tera peak is way off from finding anything comparable to what my listing is. It's sometimes comical, other times frustrating. But sometimes it has actually helped. I do understand, like another posted here, people haven't been in need of buying new jewelry as they haven't been dressing up and going anywhere lately. The idea of groupings appeals to me. I will try that soon. Thanks!
I have also sent offers many times. I can't remember exactly how many purchased afterwards. No more than two or three at most I think. It's mostly a waste of time it seems. I'm starting to sound like Debbie Downer - LOL! Oh well. Here's hoping things will improve for both of us. You hang in there too!

My response to you is below. Why it wouldn't let me respond to you directly before is beyond me.
