A couple of days ago I went through my listings that weren't selling and ended them, maybe a dozen or so. Somehow eBay relisted one of the listings and I woke up this morning to find it had been sold. I donated that item to Goodwill! I made a mad dash to Goodwill and they (there were 5 items) had all been sold. Found a helpful employee who said she remembers them being set out so no chance they were still in the back room...she looked anyway.
I am prepared to grovel to the buyer but that doesn't change the fact that I'm unable to cancel the listing for the rest of them. It was set up as quantity of 5, selling individually. The problem...they don't show up in my listings. The item is a mug by The Abbey of Gethsemani. Pull up my lisitings (bearswatching) and they don't show up. Do a search for that item and there they are, showing a quantity of 5, 1 sold. Since the only way I can cancel them is from my listings I have no way to get rid of them. Help! A thought, I've never done a sell similar. Would that solve my problem?

I find that it is listed: look under your active items. Kill it from there if it shows.

Look to see if you have the "out of stock" preference turned on, and turn it off. End those listings if you can find them, for you don't need defects for out of stock cancellations.

Since this is a multi-quantity listing, it should still be in your Active Listings, and you can use the drop-down menu to END the listing (or place a checkmark in the box in front of the listing and go up to the top to ACTIONS > END

Check your messages.
Little envlope that should now be red at the top of your community page.

When I sort your listings by date, it shows that the mugs listing has been up since July 18. Perhaps your ending it just didn't "take," rather than this glitch being a relisting. You should be able to end the listing from your active listings page, OR edit the quantity available to zero.
Instead of cancelling the transaction and disappointing your buyer (and getting a defect point and maybe bad feedback), you could purchase this one that's available on eBay:

I've definitely gone this route before when I've misplaced an item or miscounted the number available.

Well, unfortunately I have already refunded the buyer so I guess I am stuck with my first defect. I know I probably worded my 1st post poorly so let me try to fix that. When I go to My eBay at the top of the page, and click on selling, the mugs don't show up. They may show to you but, I assume since I cancelled the listing, its not showing up in my list. If it did I could use the "more actions" button and end it. The only way I can find them is if I do a specific search for them regardless of seller name. I'm sure this is a glitch but I have little hope of being able to explain this to a non-English speaking CS. I barely understand it myself! I think it will roll off after 60 days, right?

Can you get to the listing though your order of the one, by clicking on the link in it??
That may be a way to edit the quantity to 0.
This mess is a new one on me to be sure..
I have never had one not show on my active listings page...

I tried that. I changed the quantity to 0 and when I go to the bottom to submit that the radio button is grayed out.

Check you "search" parameters under manage active listings.
Reset them, and see if the listings show.

Nuts.
If it will not let you edit and you can not find it on the active listings page:
Well there is the help and contact at the bottom of the page.
Also post this in the technical issues section so some one at eBay might notice it.

Have you tried editing the listing from the listing itself some options should be in the header if you are logged in

You for sure need to end that.
Not only because you have donated them, but because the "title" is just wrong anyway.
That (5) in the title would indicate to some that they will get 5 mugs.

If you do not have OOS activated in site preferences the "0" is probably not be an option for you to use.
