Graphics Card Scammer Tactic

I just wanted to make a post to perhaps warn any honest person selling a graphics card right now (especially any of the RTX 30 series cards). I sold a card today and recently received a message through Ebay that I have since determined is a scammer.

In the message the person claimed to have bought my item, but they were moving so the address was changed. They attached a photo of the new address location, but the name was completely different than my buyer's name. Furthermore, the user account had zero feedback and was created on the same day the message was sent.

Just be careful folks. Always double check with your buyer if you find anything to be suspicious.

yep it is to get free items from the unsuspecting users out there: never ship to any addy that is not the one listed with ebay.

Your disclaimer is untrue and your no return policy is meaningless for not as described cases.

"Any disputes for a refund or return will not be accepted if stating that the card is not working or not fully functional."

If a buyer (scammer or not) files a not as described claim for not working or functioning, you either will have to accept a return, then refund after you get the item (or anything) back, or ebay will refund the buyer and let them keep it should you refuse the return.

Not new, never ever change the shipping address on file.

Accepting returns is the best way indeed. You can always file a dispute and show a box of rocks was returned.
