Grace period for Top Rated Seller status

I got this e-mail today:

Act now to keep your Top Rated Seller status

Hi Wendy,

We see that you have a great track record as a Top Rated Seller, but recently you didn’t meet one or more of the sales, volume or tracking upload goals set for all Top Rated Sellers in the US region.

We know that sometimes things come up. That’s why we're giving you some extra time - until Mar 20, 2025 - to meet these goals again.

During this grace period we'll continue to evaluate your seller performance on the 20th of every month to see whether you're eligible to be a Top Rated Seller again. Just make sure you upload tracking on 90% of all your US transactions and continue to meet all other Top Rated Seller requirements. Visit your seller standards dashboard regularly to track your progress.

We hope this extra time helps. As always, thank you for selling on eBay.

I am not sure what I have done wrong.  Can someone help me?

 If we evaluated you today

Your seller level would be:  Above Standard
Next evaluation on Feb 20, 2025
Transaction defect rate 0.00%0 of 149 transactions
Late shipment rate 0.00%0 of 149 transactions
Cases closed without seller resolution 0.00%0 of 149 transactions

Tracking uploaded on time and validated 100.00%21 of 21 transactions
Transactions and sales 149transactions$942.92sales

Return rate

0.00%0 of 149 transactions
Neat. You didn't have any returns.
Transaction period: Feb 01, 2024 - Jan 31, 2025

Re: Grace period for Top Rated Seller status

I've had a bunch of alleged late shipments because ebay's tracking is messed up.

You didn't do anything wrong. You simply failed to meet the sales volume requirements for Top Rated Seller (I believe you need 100 transactions and $1,000 in sales over the past 12 months).

Re: Grace period for Top Rated Seller status

It wasn't about tracking.

The message clearly states they didn't make the #transactions/$amount necessary.

I get that.  Thank you.

Re: Grace period for Top Rated Seller status

I fell off TRS last year for about a year and just received it back again.

It is a rolling 100+ items and $1000+ from the 20th to the 20th of each month.

So, simply sell at least what you did last January plus more if applicable to maintain TRS.

One $500 item could also satisfy the dollar requirement...ᘏᗢ

@luckythewinner

That is correct, it is 100 Domestic sales and $ 1,000.00 Domestic sales dollars in the last 12 consecutive months.

Hi @krazzykats . As nobodys-perfect said above, it's not sales from the 20th-20th.

The 20th is when the monthly eval takes place, but sales volume is based on the previous 12 calendar months. Also it goes by transactions, not items. One person can buy 100 items in a single transaction and it will count as 1 transaction towards TRS requirements, not 100 transactions.

Jan 20th eval was based on transactions from Jan 1 2024 - Dec 31 2024

Feb 20th eval will be based on transactions from Feb 1 2024 - Jan 31 2025

I encourage you to go to this page: https://sellerstandards.ebay.com/dashboard?region=US

Expand the "transactions and sales" section under both "if we evaluated you today" and under "current seller level" and you'll see the dates for the eval period.

Re: Grace period for Top Rated Seller status

I agree.  I am not worried about TRS now .  I just need to keep doing what I am doing and hope to get rid of some more stuff!  Thanks for the advice!

If your going to sell any thing do it for a profit.  Personally never was an ONFPO seller - Obviously, Not For Profit Organization.  Those badges that people chase are  hardly worth the effort in chasing - kinda' like chasing a rainbow

BTW: All those  coins don't  take up much space

Just my take on things - do what floats your boat

The biggest difference between TRS and Above Standard is the level of seller protections.

However, because you offer free returns, that comes with its own set of protections that are similar to TRS protections. So for you there really won't be much of a difference and in your shoes I wouldn't spend a second worrying about it.

Re: Grace period for Top Rated Seller status

What are the advantages for a US seller of TRS and of TRS+?

I qualify for TRS Global most months, but I 'm vague on what advantages that gives me besides a badge on that can be seen by non-US buyers, who make up about 15-20% of my sales including Canada which for me is domestic.
